M!ke, don't know either--but 2 piece seats, one piece door panels, and single-pair of window switch---so at least in the first ~100cars (no later than ~8ma700).  Turn switch clearly a replacement. Engine is presented as a 289, interesting though the '302' bellhousing and the 3 sheave pulley (which I'd expected only for US cars with smog, and the gauges here are all Euro as well as lack of marker lights on the rear). Lastly, seems to be a VIN plate of some kind by the jack.

Gasketing in the trunk is a bit peculiar...ducting on the air hoses a lot of work to create....but beautiful car.

…The Green car is 8ma602, its on Provamo shown in white color, describes that green metallic was the original color (with restoration 5 years ago). Beautiful car.

Oh, and that bulkhead sticker, I love it...this is only the 4th car I remember with the sticker in place, the earliest is '936 and this red car (8ma1120, also on Provamo) is the latest (with '1046 the only other one that had both the bulkhead sticker and also the windshield sticker!). This red car with 6900 miles had a repaint (from white as well), but appears to have a repaint but the blackening around the hatch latches and gasketing across the top demonstrates a well preserved car..here also, the air pressure sticker on the glove box...Lee

M!ke, good question, because if the year means was 'born on date' we only have anecdotal information there--I'm not even sure if this on the build sheets. If this were a US car, the marketing cycle probably would have called it a '69'-- Counting on my fingers, 8ma602 is the 52nd car.  But transitions on the goose--say, moving from 2 piece seats to single piece, single piece door panels to dual, 3 wire window motors instead of 4, AC in dash instead of under, etc) were clearly only reactions to supply chain (not model-year changes).

As a community, we only have a vague, anecdotal account of when cars were made. So for example, the distributor I have from car ~75 is dated July 1968, but so is the engine in 8ma1076. The bulkhead sticker on 8ma1046 was stamped September 1969 but because the distributor on 8ma1074 was December, 1969 I'd bet that stamp on 1046 was when the sticker was made (maybe months before the car).   The red car here (8ma1120) lists July 1970 as its first registration date (and as a Euro car, maybe that plate in the rear fender was required to record this...) and the sales invoice (pickup by the customer) was September 1970.

Chassis out of order have been reported, I think 8ma998 was presented as "1971".  Someone, somewhere, if not a few different people at least a few different names may have the real record...Lee

Thanks, really interesting--esp to have such an early reference with '596.  I have some extra hatch glass, a couple pieces from the ~75th car dated 8K (Visterm, October 1968) and a 3rd dated 8L (November 1968).

So it looks like 1969 was the roaring year--guessing that 8MA1046 was the end of 1969, and 8ma596 no earlier than the end of 1968. Has anybody seen a reference to production rate? I'm guessing ~20 a month? Probably centered between Q3 1968 and Q3 1970...Lee
