I made my own. Used a gallon for exterior house paint from the scratch and dent aisle at Lowe’s, micro spheres from Wicks aircraft supply and then some of this Paint Insulating Additive.

Much cheaper alternative and worked pretty well in my opinion. Could put a drop light (the ones that will burn your hand if you touch it for a split second) behind a test piece of metal (half painted, half not) and after 30 minutes I could comfortably rest my hand on the painted metal. I couldn’t say the same for the unpainted side.

I applied it to the entire interior and I think it made a difference (cant comment too much since I did a bunch more insulating at the same time) but interior of car was MUCH cooler afterwards.

FYI, their "special" application gun is basically an undercoat gun.

I only did the inside of the cabin. So if you didn't mind pulling the interior it would still work effectively for you.

While your at it I would apply some Damplifier Pro by Second Skin Audio (like Dynomat but all around better, cheaper, and doesn’t smell as bad) to the firewall. A trunk kit was enough to do the entire inside of the firewall and have leftovers to strategically apply to other places.

If you want to go overboard go to Lowe's and get some of the aluminum foil bubble wrap insulation and apply that over the damplifier to help cut down on any remaining heat transfer.

If anyone is wondering from my previous post about the exterior house paint, if you read the info about the lizard skin, its pretty obvious the just use a latex paint at the binding matrix. A good exterior house paint (latex, not oil) will do the same thing.
