Interesting.

I am posting this as a Public Service, and as a bit of history, not as an editorial. We (Wade Musil and I) were successfully able to install a second gear synchro - I guess I am in the "one of five" category.

This is from July, 1975.

This has editorial commentary from Eveline Blanchette.

Apparently Hugh Klienpeter was the ZF-America representative (owner?), sourcing all ZF parts. He campaigned a Group 5 (Unlimited Class) Pantera about the same time, running it at both Sebring, and Daytona (and probably at many other tracks).

I remember well Hughs shop. It was in Hialeah Florida, by MIA, west of LeJeune Road & 36 street. I started Pantera Miami in 1977, bought a lot of stock body parts from him, he wouldn't use in racing. If my recall is correct he sold #1603 in 1983. Earlier he raced 2824 for Bob Grossman, I'm not sure what the connection was there, Bob was a Ferrari/Maserati Dealer here in South Florida.Just about the time Hugh got out of the business, I bought all the ZF he had. Every piece. Two pickup trucks full of nothing but ZF's everything from complete boxes brand new, but mostly parts.I bought everything for 5 grand as I recall. Pantera Performance was his last sponser, Goodyear before that, Grossman before that. Wish I had taken some pictures with the 'ole 35mm film camera, lol.
