Well Mr. Hunter, maybe you can tell me what kind of Pantera you are looking for and I can keep an eye peeled for one?? I run across them occasionaly.

Will do Rick. Are you looking for one that needs a little work, or one that is in great shape, but pretty much stock?

I look at this as both an investment, as well as fullfilling a dream, so I'd like to get one that is as stock as possible. Obviously, beggars can't be choosers, so if it had a bit of "bling-bling" on it, I'd smile and be grateful.

While I'm a very good at "wrench-turning" (see my avatar), I have no flair for body work. Naturally, I wouldn't want one with a seized engine or transmission. As ALL of us want -- I'd like one as rust free as possible, but don't mind one that requires mechanical work. I wouldn't even mind one that would require painting as I've already figured that into my budget, as it were.

In the meantime, I'll adjust the tip of my pith helmet to a jaunty angle and keep hunting until I find one that wants me as its parent.....

Have you tried looking at Chuck Meltons site? He usualy has a lot of cars on it. From project cars all the way to concours.
I do know there is one rotting in a field in Georgia. But he won't sell it for anything reasonable. There is a guy here in Unicoi that has one but it is all apart and he is repainting it. There is one in Charlotte that has been in a local museum for years. Mainly cause the guy owns a car museum. But I have seen that one.

I have looked at Chuck Melton's site, particularly at the one that Mike Drew had been kind enough to have reviewed. At this point, there's nothing that I won't look at. You know, it might be better to take this conversation to a phone. If you care to, you can send your phone number to the addy that I left for Edmguru. I'll take any and all leads that can come my way as I'm actually in a position to make a commitment, should the car and I come to an understanding.....

Rick I know it isn't a car you are looking at, but I have spent the last half hour lusting after a Pantera PI just posted brand new. To me it is a thing of beuty. I have to sit here for a few and catch my breath, because man she is a knock out. Don't want to get up from my desk for a few, if you know what I mean. WOW.
