It's about 99.9% certain that this is a scam. Exactly what the angle is I don't know. The entire ad is "lifted". Pictures and text. Get this. Ebay told me that they do not consider these ad "theft" because they are in the public domain. They don't want to hear from me on this subject anymore. Someone else needs to complain to them.
Yes, it would appear to have been removed. I find e-bay's response curious. Yes, the photos are in public domain so I can understand if they aren't bent out of shape because someone stole some pictures, but they stole some pictures to commit fraud on their site, which I would think they WOULD be concerned about.
But it isn't fraud yet. The seller is only accused of not having the car, etc. Ebay doesn't know a lug nut from an acorn. If you buy it, and never get it, then it is fraud. So thier rule is about stealing someone else's pictures and text. They say they are in the public domain, so they weren't stolen. It's like a dog chasing his tail.
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
