Has anyone experimented with lengthening the front lower control arms to increase camber? Based on my measurements, I figure this is a preferable method of setting the camber rather than adjusting the top ball joint location. The reason I say that is because by lengthening the lower control arm, the front track will slightly increase which should assist handling and better fill out the GTS flares. Thoughts?

Lengthening suspension arms will always be a preferable method than installing spacers behind the rims or simply widening rims outward.
Widening rims outward increases the scrub radius & makes the car very flighty when hitting bumps.
This is because the further outward the wheel is moved the more leverage the wheel has over the driver.
It may make the car look good as the rim fills the wider flares but steering performance is nothing short of dismal & makes the car a pig to drive.
Lengthening just the lower arm will only kick outward the bottom of the wheel which will not fill the flares at all.

So, you really need to also lengthen the top arm to compensate or otherwise you will end up with too much camber & you will prematurely wear the inside edge of the front tyres.
At the same time as lengthening both arms set the top arm up to increase caster from its current 2-3 degrees up to 5 to 6 degrees.
You will also need to lengthen the steering tie rods.

Regards,
Tony.
