You know what Rick?? It seems to me that you are going to spen a lot of time looking at rust buckets and spens a lot on plane fare and such. Or you could just fly out to California and pick up this car...

drive it back to Chicago, know exactly what you have, and have the time of your life doing it. By the time Chicago streets dry out this spring, you can be driving up and down them terrorizing all the old foggies.
It's up to you, but it just seems expedient to me.

That white Gt5 clone looks nice. What's up with the license plate that reads "700 hp"?

Perhaps someone took out the really hot motor and sold it separately, as it wouldn't increase the selling price or maybe the owner was one of those males that exagerates about the size and output of everything.. Wink
Thanks I saw that white on white one also and called on it Monday. It was so new that the owner of PIM didn't have any personal knowledge of it yet. One guy from AZ was on their door step waiting to inspect it. I'm going to call on it today and a new yellow stocker with wing that just got posted. White on White? not my color choice and the roll bar makes it even tighter for a 6' 210lb guy to get in and out. However, the price is in the ball park.
Hi Rick, I don't have 'your' car spotted yet but DO want to commend you for seeing that "ballpark price" you mentioned as a wise move. Just for the sake of getting a 'done' or 'nearly done' car is usually well-rewarded.

I've been on every side of this equation, from full bore 3 year long projects to turn-key ones, and unless you're IN LOVE with the "project" aspects, your thinking is right.

Best wishes to you. I'll keep my eyes open for you.
