Is anyone running Magnaflow mufflers? I got the Wilkerson GTS system and the mufflers are thin gauge and the welds that hold the two tips in place inside the muffler broke loose and rattle. The first time this happened, it was a major pain in the ass to weld due to the light gauge metal used. Now that it has happened again I want to replace them. I am looking at the Magnaflow #14815. I would like to hear what you guys think. Thanks

Magnaflow mufflers have a good reputation. They are built of decent quality stainless steel, they present no restriction to the exhaust, while having a reasonable sound level ... when they are new. But lets face it, the sound is deadened with a man made fiber material of some sort. i.e. they are a large glass pack. The sound deadening stuff looks like the same stuff that the silencers in 2 stroke dirt bikes are stuffed with. And just like the glass packs of the Hall Big Bore system, or the Mind Train Big Throat system ... at some point in time the fiber material is going to pack-in with oil and carbon. When that happens they will get louder.
