The two cars are very closely related, as DeTomaso owned Maserati at the time. He commissioned Frua to go over the original Tjarda design to make it more Maserati-like. The body changes are subtle (mostly around lights and various creases). In fact I think that the only interchangeable exterior panels are the trunk lid and door skins, but I could be wrong. Underneath the bodywork is very close (identical?). I don't know how much of the running gear was shared, but likely most of it (except of course the engine).

That one is way cheaper than any Longchamp I've seen, for sure, but it's a disaster and probably can't be restored cost-effectively.

There are a few nice Kyalamis on the market currently for about $50K, and a unique (converted likely) cabrio at over $150K. I think that is not too far off current Longchamp prices although as noted, a bit lower. The Kylami suffers even more from "WTF is that? Syndrome" as, with only 210 or so built, many (most?) Maserati owners have never even heard of it. I still prefer the Longchamp. Big Grin
