Depends entirely on how long you expect to use it. For the few seconds of a typical drag race, maybe 800. For a 4-hr road-race with gumball tires etc, maybe 400. The stock crank is arguably the strongest part of a 351-C and the rods, if the bolts are switched for Boss bolts, aren't far behind. Cast pistons are about what you'd expect, so I suggest forged pitons in a zero overbore block as the cylinder walls won't take any overbore at all with big power. The block and head castings were what failed in NASCAR competition back in the early '70s. Some say that an application of "Hardblok" braces things up in the block enough to hold things in better now, and 'posting' the conbustion chambers fixes the heads.
