Larry, the oem exhaust valves don't have the blue oval, they're plain. Just the intakes have the logo.

It happenned to me with my first 351C that I swapped into a '66 Mustang
fastback. A couple of hours on rebuild (standard bore block, flat top
pistons, 0.550" lift cam, stock Ford valves), it popped the head of the
valve off the stem. The stem stayed in the guide but I pulled the
valve head out of the exhaust header. Heard a bang under the hood,
stopped and lifted the hood to see a fist sized hole gushing coolant
and oil out. The valve head bounced around until it shattered the piston
then the rod poked it's way outside. Notice the nice beam polished rod.

Destroyed the block, a head, the cam, lifters, rods and more.
