As the "to-do" list gets ever shorter, it is time to prepare the engine to run (hopefully). First surprise was the TWO carb base gaskets (huh?). Removed, cleaned up, and new ONE in place. On to the spark plugs ------ and THEN !!!!!!!!!

Champion RV12YC plugs are installed. Th 14mm thread is correct, but the tapered base sure isn't. Anyway, Autolite AR42 plugs supersede to Autolite 85. Based on pictures of the AR42, they APPEAR correct. In searching the interwebs, I have found both AR42 and AR42-6.

Thoughts?

I just switched to a 1/2" phenolic spacer to use with my demon 650 / aircleaner assembly to clear the decklid. I have about a fingers worth of clearance at this point. I also have an edlebrock performer manifold. I am not currently using the screen cover. Not quite the answer you're looking for, just trying to help a little.
