Some of you may remember this book when the author was in the process of writing it as he requested information from forum members.

The book is titled:
DE TOMASO
From Buenos Aires to Modena
The History of an Automotive Visionary
By Dr. Daniele Pozzi

In my opinion this is the most elegant book about Alejandro and Isabella De Tomaso and their cars yet published, it is entertaining and informative; it shares stories and pictures you’ve never read or seen before. I love it, and I believe no one will be disappointed in this book. The content is “person oriented” rather than “machine oriented”. I believe it is a “must have” for the De Tomaso enthusiast and owner, and perfect for display on your coffee table. Its a gorgeous hard bound book, the cover dimensions are 11.25” width and 12.38” length, with 241 pages.

We have purchased our first box of these books. We have them in stock but we haven't set a price yet, we need to discuss shipping options with the post office first. Its selling in the US for $79 shipping inclusive, we plan to meet or beat our competitors.

I'm excited about the book, I haven't been able to put it down. So I just needed to let you all know about it. I hope if you decide to purchase one you'll give us consideration. We'll add it to the store website as soon as we firm-up our price.

Hey guys thanks for your interests in the book.

Debbie has your names. The US post office is closed Monday, its a Federal holiday celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr (one of the 20th Century's truly great men). So we can't talk to them about shipping until Tuesday. We'll be getting ahold of each of either via private message or the email you have listed for your forum membership.

I've been enjoying the book all weekend.
Sorry, George. If I had known you were going to stock it I would have ordered it from you. Instead, I ordered mine from the publisher and it arrived a few days ago. I agree with your review, and would also highly recommend it. It is well written with some remarkable photographs of the De Tomaso and Haskell families in the early years. I have only just started reading it, but have already picked up a few gems such as the fascinating fact that Alessandro De Tomaso was high school buddies with Che Guevara.
Our price for the book shall be $66.00 (plus shipping). Shipping to US customers is $9.00 via USPS media mail. Which makes our price to US customers $75 (plus tax in California) which beats the publisher by $4. Smiler That's packaged in a heavy box, insured and tracked.

Shipping to Canadian customers shall be $45.00 via priority international mail, media mail is not an option for foreign addresses. That's still $20 less expensive than the flat rate price ($66). $45 includes insurance and the same heavy box.

All proceeds from the sale of merchandise are used to restock the De Tomaso Gift Store. The proceeds from the sale of this book are minimal. We have a bunch of out-of-stock items folks would like us to restock. That is our only goal. Debbie and I appreciate everyone's patronage.

George,

I too ordered from the publisher before I knew you would be having them. I just started reading it and I will say it is a beautifully illustrated book and a great "coffee table book". Lot's of fascinating stuff in it and I look forward to working my way through it. Well worth it for those considering the purchase.

Hey Marc, Joe & Jimmy

Thank you for your interest in the book. Debbie has your names, and I believe she has contacted you via email. If not PM me or email us via the club. We've been shipping book orders based upon date & time that folks have contacted me. At this point we are out of books, and we're waiting for the next shipment from the book publisher. We had no idea the demand for the book would be this great.

We've placed a second order for books enough to fill all orders based upon everyone who has contacted us via the forums, via PM, via email or via telephone.

When the next shipment of books arrives Debbie shall contact those of you who haven't already made arrangements with her. If you want to PM your shipping address and phone number to me, or email it to Debbie, that will speed things up. Debbie will phone you when the books arrive for bank card info. That should be the first week of February, about 14 days from now.

Thanks again.
Dido Mr. DM on that. Mine came in bubble wrapped like it was beyond a fragile part.
I haven't opened it up yet. But will soon, no curling up for me. Our weather here has started to look more like spring. So I am still on the challenge that #1755 has made to get my cat on the road for the fall cruse. Latter, I'm already behind!
