Hi Guys n Girls

My name is Dave and i live in West Australia.
I spend most of time building kit cars like the GT40 and spend a lot of my time on GT40s.com

I have always loved the Pantera and over next year i am hoping to purchase a Pantera.
I would like to buy an early 70's model and add the group 4 body kit. I am hoping to do some light hearted vintage racing with it.

Looking forward to joining in conversations.

Cheers
Dave

Welcome Dave,

You'll find quite a few folks here that have both the Pantera and GT40 in their garage.

Modified Pantera's seem to be at a discount to originals recently as collectors migrate to the marque , so you may have more success finding one that has already been converted. There was a GP4 at Barrett Jackson that went for around $50K last week.

You won't regret it Dave.

I'm also in Perth & have owned my 72' Pantera for the past three years, imported from Canada, (ex USA car).
If your going racing & plan on modifying the car then maybe buy yourself an average, but rust free Pantera.
I have done a huge amount of modifications to mine to improve the steering, handling & brakes.

Upgrade to Brembo calipers & 14" Wilwood discs, jigged up & made new front adjustable suspension arms, made my own wheels, radiator, cooling system, rollbar, pedal box, the list seems to go on forever.

Currently its receiving new body work, about 80% of the panels are being replaced with new steel.
Also converting to Right Hand Drive & fitting an alloy Dart 427.
I have the car at work, (mostly stripped) in Malaga on the hoist if you feel like dropping by.

I can show you the areas to look out for when purchasing.
I spent several months prepping my car for registration after it landed, had it checked by an engineer & put it over the pits at Warwick.
Passed first go.

Tony.
