I have the 6A box # 6200, Tach adapter #8920, 8350 R2R dist, and a blaster 2... The MSD documentation on page seven, figure 13 calls for the orange dist wire to connect to the WHT wire from 6A box. The only white wire on my 6A is going to my tach adapter?.. I hooked them both together and no spark?.. I think 4NFORD has this same set up?.. At this point I may just remove the 6A and just run the dist alone..??.. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks...

The Tach output is the opposite end of the 6A box to the main wiring and is a dedicated circuit. This the tach adapter should just plug in to the box there (with the tach adapter supplied wire, which may also be white)

The 6A box main wiring loom (with battery wires etc.) should have a white wire, which connects to the orange dizzie wire.

The tach adapter is an add on so if necessary just disconnect it for now to get the engine running

Well... one of the previous owners cut that white wire inside the sheath and then used it on the other side...lol.. I pressed the black wire sheath in my hand and felt another wire in there, I cut the sheath away and it was a white wire...lol.. It lit up the whols shop. Just another example of my luck combined w/not being thorough... I should have thought to press that in my fingers and see if there was "another" wht wire... Thanks Julian! I'm all set...

When running the MSD R2R 8350 you need to run the 8910 tach adapter. Somehow having the R2R module makes the system think that you're running points. The car should still run with the 8920 but you won't have a working tach. You don't drive the tach through the external tach plug in the 6AL box. Using the R2R distributor bends all the rules. If you continue to have trouble, let me know and I'll check my wiring. Have you tested the MSD box? Will it run with the distributor by itself? Has this system ever run, could be faulty new components from the factory?

OH HAPPY HAPPY DAY !!!!..lol.. Well, since the car sparked, and it had oil in it, and it had coolant in it, and the gearbox had gear oil in it... we decided to run up a get 5 gals of 93 and dump it in the freshly cleaned tank.... I filled the vent tube on the carb and touched the throttle and gas jetted out... we turned it over about 360 deg and fired right up!!!.... I am so happy, I take back all the cussing and rotten things I said about this car, I love this car... it's a great car...lol... I will check it over a bit better in the next few days, I need to get the pipes back on it so it's not so loud and break the cam in.... Thanks for all your help and advice!!.. Oh happy freakin' day!

The 8350 is the "ready to run distributor, right"? Holy s#!T! I near went crazy last year trying to get my tach working after shorting a wire and the tach failed. This is the first I heard of this.
