Nothing like having your Pantera take a dive the same week the stock market did.
Glad you're ok!

Glad to hear everyone is OK. Sorry to hear the cat went into the ditch but very happy it was not a severe incident.

WOW! Michel that must have been some ride. Glad to hear you are ok as the car can be fixed. Surprising how little damage to the car...
Amazing, just amazing. I really expected much more damage. Glad everything turned out so well.
Glad your OK, ... Can’t believe that the roof is not smashed in
Sorry to hear of the mishap. Ultimately the main thing is than no one was really hurt in the accident. Amazing and lucky how little damage was done to the car. He was fortunate in many ways!
YIKES!!
Michel, very glad to hear YOU didn't sustain any body damage!! It's been said a hundred times, the car is just a car. It is, however, a comfort to know, in this day of crumple zones and multiple air bags, that a pantera is built tough enough to protect the occupants, and in this case, tough enough to save it's own life as well.

OH MAN!! Always remember "shiney side up, shiney side up". Just think if the car had been fiberglass body instead of steel. Wouldn'ta been so pretty then now eh?
I had an awful feeling in my stomach as I was reading this post. I am truly happy Michel is OK. Those Panteras are tough M@therF&ckin cars!!!
I'm amazed! Being on the roof no matter how soft the ground is, and getting so little dagage is amazing! Was expecting the worst seing the photos.
Nice to get a good look at the cars belly?

First, a super thanks to the team, David, Carmen, Gilles, Gaetan and Gaetano for the quick on site thinking and coordinating of, hope to be, “THE NEVER AGAIN EVENT” and the post trauma support by making me laugh it out.
BTW, my over sized chromed half shafts still better be on the car!
I am safe, sound and ready to order parts to fix my Pantera. Color? I am not decided yet but black is on my mind the most, maybe a chromed midnight blue.

Second, here's the story: Picture yourself on an autumn postcard road with a nice straight line going down a valley, your looking ahead, sighing from the oranges, yellows and greens with the bleu cloudless sky, you see a yellow color caused by the color changing leaves not the normal 11 am color.
There is a long distance in front of me, before the next Pantera. Next, we are driving in the bottom of the valley, so I don't see the cars further then Carmen's rear witch is getting closer, who, by now is locking the brakes, you can see the smoke coming up, so I rammed my brake pedal, the car pulled immediately to the right and was already on the side road gravel, at that point the rear caught up to the front (180°) I was not going fast, so I was not scared for my life. But I was pissed, ever so pissed at my lack of control. Then MY Pantera slides sideways into the ditch and slowly toppled over.
Looking ahead of me I saw straw and water, and throw my mirror, oil dripping down from the rear hood, I unhooked my seat belt; man! the Pantera is spacious, upside down you can lie flat on the padded roof! Still pissed, I tried to open the door, my left hand slipped, I smelled the air (because we had just fueled our cars), no gas fumes, ‘good’, tried the door a second time, it open with ease, I came out of my upside down Pantera, just like that, upside down, climbed up the ditch, looked to my right and saw Gilles, Gaetan's friend running towards me. I turned left, threw my sun glassed in the gravel, witch had stayed in place on my face, sat down on the rocks, stood back right up and walked toward Gilles. By then, the rest of the team, caught up a few seconds later, 911 was already called. A few minutes later a fire rescue van was passing by and stopped to help, asking me the first consciousness questions...and then, while I was checked by the medics, David, Carmen, Gaetano, Gilles and Gaetan where making sure the towing driver was doing exactly what they asked.

And finally, two years ago, last July; I joined this forum, after seeing a pic of a Pantera on the internet, and said, hey why haven’t I bought my own yet, so I contacted George Pence who directed me to David and the rest of the group in the neighborhood and I was hooked to this friendship way before I found my Pantera.
You guys are the most supportive group I have ever known and I feel privileged to be part or it.
On some other posts, not P.I., readers might say, “serve's me right”, thinking he didn't handle the situation properly; he should have pulled the hand brake or what ever. But not one person on the P.I. forum said anything negative.
Thank you, Mark, George, Dennis, Michael, Robert, Peter, William, Blaine, Derrick, Brad, Doug, Rapid, DeTom and Harry for the encouragements.
Thanks David for your friendship and support. Thanks Carmen for being a good friend.
I took a hit to my ego and man what a hit, but am alive.
I wasn’t scared for my life,as I know I will not die whilst my friends are with me.

Michel,
Very glad you were unhurt (other than your ego). And also glad that your car suffered so little damage.
I'm sure we all look forward to progress pics of the repair work, and your first drive again once restored!

That is the quote of the year!
Michel, Glad to hear you are fine and the only long-term effect will be a great story to tell. As stated in this thread your car is beautiful even upside down!
Michel,
This is the first opportunity I have had to see the PI post.
Mark, Andrew and Denis Charon came by yesterday and mentioned you had an incident. As Mark was explaining the incident I felt a cold chill run through my body.
I am so very relieved that you came away from the incident completely unscathed.
Finally, the damage to the car looks and sounds relatively minor. Hey, what do they say ? ... Cats have nine lives !!!
