Most Panteras don't have an oil temp gauge so most owners have no ideal what their oil temp is including me with 1306

When I owned 5835 the oil temp would run about 200 during city driving and 220 to 230 on the freeway

I have seen Nascar races on TV that show in car video running 220 to 230 oil temps as normal. I realize these motors are running pedal to the metal but they also have oil to water coolers to help keep the temperatures down. So I don't think 220 to 230 is out of line.

I know that the open road racing Pantera's have all struggled to keep oil temperatures down using the same water to oil coolers that Nascar racer use.

It would be nice to hear from anyone that has an oil temp gauge installed and find out what their experiances have been in street driven cars.
My oil temp normally runs around 215 on the highway during a good long run with the water temp sitting @ about 190. Once off the highway it drops a bit. On the track during really hard driving it will go up to around 240 but drops back quickly once I'm back in the pits.
Mine run pretty much the same as this.
