Wow, does the new GT ever make the Pantera look lean! Funny, beside an "original" style GT40, the Pantera look large. Great shots.

I noticed that too. I imagine your GT looks of similar 'build' to a Pantera, but the new GT really does have exaggerated features. Admittedly, I wanted one REALLY bad when they came out, the price cruised downward, and has now oddly rebounded. I'm out!
But to the point of the thread - the Pantera sure holds its own. Just remarkable.

I still wonder which is old and which new? Is that a real older GT40 or new? I was surprised to see the Pantera lower as well, as I thought the GT40 was pretty low in height. Boxboy, good photo, seems we park by the best. But still, although we don't seem to get the serious recognition for our Panteras, whenever we show up people flock to em, even with a nice GT40 side by side being ignored all day...go figure.

Great Comparison photos guys.
Government safety and emissions regulations as well as creature comforts certainly had an influence in the growth of the GT-40 to the Ford GT.
Not to take anything away from the FORD GT, I like the lean and lighter size of the DeT and GT-40 cars.
