I have a set of original 15 x 7 fronts and 15 X 8 rears. They have two slots. They are from a 1971 Pantera. They are in good condition but could stand to be re-painted for excellant condition. I do not have the little center DeThomaso caps.

I am asking $1,200.00 for the set. Buyer to pay freight from Indianapolis. If interested contact Larry in Indy at hc2343@peoplepc.com.

Dear Larry in Indy,

As it is your first post, I make the assumption you are not up to date with Pantera Land.

The original Campys, while still used by many, are becoming almost throw away wheels to many others who upgrade to newer, larger sizes to maintain speed rated tires.

Your price is pretty much way out of line with what folks here abouts are willing to pay, especially for wheels needing attention.

You might get a better response on eBay, where there always seem to be others out of touch with 'normal' prices.

Just my 2¢

IMO, the 15" mag campys are (were) great wheels. Irrespective of opinions about style, they are light and proven to be respectably tough street wheels. However, due to age and use, many are past prime and cracks are common (this can be easily tested and detected however). For cars these days, the biggest issue as Larry noted is the scarcity or outright absence of good speed rated rubber in 15", and little clearance for upgraded brakes. Original Campys bring $250-$350 in average condition and occassionallly up to $500 if they're exceptional.

FWIW - I just bought an "extra" set of average 7's & 8's for $50. I actually found 2 sets at this price, but one was going to cost a few hundred to ship from another state, so I passed on those and found some in CA.

Cheers!

Hi Garth - or anyone who has a set of Campys.

I would like a set of 'extra' wheels for my car. Would prefer 8's and 10's, but would accept a 'stock' set. Good tires too (even new) would be a bonus.

I'm just finding prices all over the map (as it appears to be the case from these posts). Seems ebay is bringing $150/pair for stock wheels.

If you have the 8s and 10's, I'm interested and will pay more than 'normal' of course. Thanks,

FWIW, I have not seen a set of 8's and 10's advertised for less than $1,500. I've seen some advertised for more. I'd like a set of 8's and 10's too, but I just can't bring myself to spend that much money for a set of wheels that I still can't get speed rated tires for. So, I'll keep saving for a set of Campy clones. In the meantime, I'm happy with my 7's and 8's, although I'm putting the extra 8's on the front to improve the car's handling (better scrub radius I'm told).

Good luck!
Garth
