I am planning to have my car repainted its original silver color (non-GTS). The problem I have is that the paint shop is not able to determine the recipe from the original paint codes. Below are the paint codes that I have found so far:

Ditzler: 33089
DuPont: 38809
Glidden: 167 E 21
Martin Seymour: 99-21491

I am looking for help to find the correct paint recipe or usable paint code. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks!

Not to add more confusion to the paint code you're seeking, but some reference material (Technical Service Bulletins) I have shows some different codes. If your data plate indicates V613, it references to Silver Poly (sometimes refered to as Silver Metallic) with the following codes:
Ditzler 8926
Acme 3-91031
Sherwin Williams J5-4679
Rogers 8-91031
Martin Senour 99-21491
Glidden (1972) 167E 5
Glidden (1973) 167E 21
I, too, am in the process of rebuilding my '72 Pantera (silver) and am in the early stages of looking at silver.
As further reference, the GTS Silver has the following codes
Ditzler 8951
DuPont 43748
Rob, thank you for the information. I had no luck at all with using the many original silver paint codes. I didn't trust the eBay touch-up paint that claimed to be correct, either.

There is now one more red Pantera in the world. Frankly, I got tired of being asked if my silver Pantera was a Delorean. My car is now Rosso Corsa, which I really like.

I feel that red better suits an Italian car, like ours, rather than silver. Silver gives the impression of engineered precision, which is at odds with the emotional appeal of the Pantera. Mercedes and Audi lend themselves more to silver.

Regardless, good luck with your search.

Matt
