Thicker, high-flow radiators in brass or aluminum, kits to change the pathetic stock pusher rad-fans to large sucker fans with 4x the airflow capacity, mounted in full shrouds so the cooling air passes thru the entire core, aluminum high-flow waterpumps, and on 'n on. Temp gauge accuracy has also been improved from the early wildly-inaccurate readings. Last year at the annual Las Vegas Fun Rally, one vendor drove a hot-rodded 508 cubic inch Ford big-block conversion from L.A to Las Vegas, ran it on the racetrack, around town, then drove it home again, all with zero water-temp problems. Pantera vendors have water temp problems well-sorted. The only remaining difficulty on some is, at sustained speeds above 160mph, you may find the oil pan temp climbing to unhealthy levels. This only happens w/5th gear runs of 10-30 minutes such as the Silver State open-road events, or extreme track events. On the street at more reasonable speeds, today's Panteras are sorted & civilized.
