paint or powder coat?

I dont paint anything any more. I purchased one of the home powdercoating systems from Eastwood and my Dad found an old electric oven at the local recycling yard. If its small enough to fit in that oven, it gets powdercoated! And the oven will fit a 15" Campy!

Yes, do it right with powder coat as it will be much more durable. That's unless you like taking it all apart again later on to paint it again. Good to do everything in that area while you are at it. Google search gives lots of info on it. Plus from what I have seen, powder coat seems to have a thicker smoother appearance on parts.

Controlling the cycle makes powder coating extremely convenient. I blast my part, drop it in the kiln, select the program hit run. It makes it a fire and forget system.

The nice thing is nearly every bracket, or part I just blast and coat. No wet paint, easy to do.

I figure I have ran over a 1000 parts through this so far.
