I finally had time to get my ZF out. Fortunatly the ZF mounting bracket studs came out so I could slide the ZF back and out. My question is that the pilot bushing is a needle bearing that looks like is was abused when it was installed. The bearings seem ok but it just looks bad. What should I use? A new needle bearing? If I can locate one. Or, a standard brass(?) type bushing? If a standard is used can I get a Pantera one or do I have to say Mustang with a BOSS 351? (It's still a 351C)
Thanks all.... Smiler

A regular NAPA, pep boys piece will fit and work

BUT!!!

The new ones are now sourced from who knows where and are not soft oilite that will wear before causing input shaft wear. Instead, the new ones - if a magnet sticks to them, don't buy it!! - have a high amount of iron in them, may cause input shaft wear, and are not advised.

Buy Marlin's.
