All,

I’d like to let you all know that Justin from PIM called me back.  Apparently I called at a bad time for him earlier and he wanted to help answer my questions.

Justin was able to answer my questions letting me know the engine specs required a max 6,000 rpm, that they build and dyno each engine and provide the dyno sheet to the customer.  That is mostly what I had been looking for.  He also mentioned Jerry might call me tomorrow.

He did express a sentiment that LeMans860i provided some great information as well.

I thanked him for the info and we left the call in peace.  I appreciate Justin calling me back to speak with me in person.

Thank You,

Asa Jay

Asajay, I’m surprised PIM doesn’t have this all figured out. Isn’t their 427 Hammer a standard engine package?

The tone makes the music….

this (quote above) are the first sentences responding to the original post from Asa Jay…. totally uncalled for a response in my opinion…
Yes, they have figured it out… 125 engines sold!
I didn’t see anybody else piping up and say “my Hammer engine is shit..”

… And I’ll leave it with that!

It’s remarkable the change in attitude, when you post your experience in a public forum. The fact he called you back doesn’t excuse the fact he was rude to you.  Keep in mind, if they had provided the cam specs when you asked for them, none of that would have happened.

I would deal with it literally as though they just got caught where they were unable to respond at the time, not that they were unwilling to?

Did you get the cam specs? What I would be looking for would be something like a "300 degree" cam, which would explain the low vacuum numbers at idle. That would be a acceptable explanation to me.

I'm not sure how that would effect the jetting situation though?

I'd have to find an "old time" drag racer and run this all by them.
