Well, the Zf is coming out. The disk is toast. I've always taken the ZF out with the motor or my last car had the rear mounts modified so I could slide it backwards for easy removal.
How do I remove the ZF by itself? I remember reading that I've got to jack the motor up slightly? Do I need to reove the motor mount bolts? Obviously, the coolant lines need to be disconnected?
I only have a few days before Niagara Falls so I need to make this happen.
Thanks in advance, Will

Will,

You shouldn't need to disconnect the coolant lines or even loosen the engine mounts. I have a small cap MSD distributor and it clears, but if you have a large cap and you are tight on the firewall you will at least want to remove the cap if not the whole distributor. Use a wooden block across the back edge of the oil pan on teh jack so you don't crush the pan at all. You just want enough lift to help the ZF clear the body mounting tabs.

Good luck,
