Mark it isn't my ass that need's more room it's my right knee.

Now if I understand this correctly the one you have Ed brings your Momo wheel to the same location that the stock steering wheel was at?

Wilkinson's is a hub specifically for the Pantera and takes the place of a normal aftermarket steering wheel adaptor hub?

This is very helpful and valuable information gentlemen.

Thank you.

I'm going to use a Momo Team 300mm wheel.
I like my 13" LaCarrera but I figure I can get almost two more inches of leg room.

Who wouldn't spend the money for two more inches?
Ah, so that's what it is.....

I bought a used Momo wheel that came with a hub just like that attached and I was confused when it didn't fit a standard hub.

I'll have to se if I can purchase just the column side of the quick release mechanism and voila.. removable steering wheel.

Thanks for the photos and enlightenment!

They do not take up any more room than a normal hub

Heres some photo's

Does the button in center with the logo come with the kit or is that something you did?

I like it. It's very classy!

I called Steve Wilikinson and he says that the quick release puts something like 1/8" on the hub. That's great, I guess I can put on some gut!
Bring on the beer!
OK, you have all convinced me that the Momo and Wilkinson's quick relase hub is the way to go.

I thank all who have shared info and took the time and effort to post pics.

All of the wheels look fantastic.

DT, as far as buttons go, you are going to like this, they are available as an add on to the Momo wheel.

You can actually add up to four and the look more obnoxious then the Ferrari ones do.

Now I have a Pantera steering wheel collection. The original and the LeCarrera. I suppose I can mount them on the wall somewhere?

Doug you are an inspiration to me. You made me realize that there are practical things that I can do to make my car more comfortable to me. Yeah I would love to have a fancy steering wheel and some day I will. But for now I am thinking I will make myself some wooden inserts for the spokes of the wheel I have to make it more presentable looking. I have come to realize I will never have the money to do the things I fantasize about doing to my car. So I am looking more at what I can afford instead of what I want. I am coming up with a 15 year plan of restoration. Most of that involves saving up money for work that must be done that can not be performed without actualy taking the car out of commision. It also involves shopping for inexpensive components I know I will need as well as contingency plans for things I will not know for certain I need until after the car has been dismantled. I know this may not be your approach to things, however your presense keeps me grounded in reality of what is possible and practicle, vs what I can dream up. You are a priceless asset to this forum and I thank you for being here for me.
