new or used ??? new PI has them used I may have one in the old parts box ...

I suppose that all rubber has a life expectancy. 33 years was it for mine.
A 32 year old one doesn't have much left either.
An intelligent person will go for the new one.
Let me contact PI and see how intelligent I am.

Well I have to say I rebuilt my rack with boots, bushings and found a sealed bearing to fit exact ... but the rack and pinion gears are pitted pretty bad .. I'm going to replace the whole thing.
