Rear emblems

I have determined that the cost of re chroming my original Detomaso and Pantera emblems is not cost effective at $50 per emblem. Several venders offer what I assume are reproductions for about $60 .

However, I am concerned about the quality of the repos. I have seen one repro that was noticeably inferior in style copy and quality. Most of the vendors either do not offer a pic or like the PI pic, it states it is a sample and may not reflect the actual item. I am trying not to waste time with a purchase that I will end up returning less the usual re stock fees etc.

Can someone suggest a vendor selling a quality set of emblems ?

Just paint them black and be done with it! Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

I replaced mine about 6 months ago. I believe they were oem parts. I got them from Brian Graham PH# 714-283-3926. Brian has the orginal Ford clips to secure them. Be aware that the clips are harden steel and the emblem nipples are soft metal. Repeated attempts to attach the clips to the nipples will shave the nipples down resulting in a secure but 'loose' emblem. Not an easy job by yourself. Chuck

The pic's don't show how good they look, imagine chrome with a black tint, they are shinny and smooth (I'll be in the gargae this weekend if you want to see them in person_). contact Stephanie (formely Steve Eeker _) 714-767-8854, figure about $50 a emblem
