Is it easy/possible to convert a rear sump 351C to a front sump?

The 351C in the Pantera is a front sump.

I have found a 351C rear sump engine and wish to know how difficult it would be to convert it to a front sump to install in my car. I turned a bearing a few days ago while trying to keep up to Peter H. I have a stock oil pan - stupid me!
Just change the oil pump pickup and oil pan. No problem, you can use the ones off your old engine, just be sure the pickup is thoroughly cleaned so you don't transfer debris to the new engine.
To prevent the same thing happening again, you really should switch to the 9 quart oil pan anyway.
Aviaid or Armando's were the historical choices, but Kevko has come out with a copy at a substantially lower price....

Thanks everyone. Just made an offer on a 351C with quenched heads(rear sump). I am going to order the 9qt pan tomorrow....I paid the price last Sat. for not already having one in place. Thanks again!

Glad you made it home. Last week was a blast! Pretty difficult to keep up with the Pete the Demon and his 427 Hammer on the straights.....curvies are a different story.
