Im looking for a rehostat switch for the headlights ( dash lights) or someone that can rebuild my switches - I have 5 switches and ther all bad

I know of an electronic rheostat that I have for my car. It is totally electronic and it will work with the P-car's electrics just fine. I will have to look up who makes this -- I did not purchase it from a Pantera vendor; I purchased it from the manufacturer, and it was tough to find such a thing in the proper size. I will get the information and pass it along.
I have this unit, sold to me as NOS and looks like it really is. Just hooked it up to an ohmmeter and it is off at off and has varying resistance when twisted clockwise. I also have two other units, but one has different connection points than this one. Not sure what is on a Pantera but you can compare my photos to what you have. Will sell/ship to you for $50, money back if it won't work right for you.

...I just pried mine open from the back, soldered the broken wire and sealed it back up. Works perfect! What's the Problem?...
The dimmer switch that is going in my car is a Pollak Corp. rheostat. It is just a rheostat, it does not have a totally off portion on the switch. The part number is 52-262 and it can be purchased from Wes-Garde Components Group, Inc, in Carol Stream, IL (630) 653-1460. The only reason I bought it was to get away from the electrical gremlins that seem to permeate the 50's and 60's designed componentry that is in the cars. The cost to me was $55.00 with shipping and tax -- and it should never fail again or get hot.

Just to make a dumb question here - Is this switch 'generally' the reason that the dash lights are so sorry and dim? Everything else in my car works pretty darn well -- but the dash lights.

I put Pantera dash lights in the same catagory as bigfoot and the locke ness monster.........a lot of people say they exist, but I've never really seen one.
the main picture was illuminated by Pantera dash lights.

You can put a higher wattage bulb in, which will increase the illumination. There have been several threads on this if you do a search.
