I've got a puzzling anomaly. The headlight door relay, and the AC compressor relay seem to be working on a delay. When I throw either switch for the first time after start up, there is a 10 - 20 second delay before either relay engages its device. After that, they seem to work on demand.

I've taken the relay panel down and burnished each connector. Brushed up the ground stud and connector under the instrument panel. I also have Pantera Electronics ATO fuse panel.

I'm pretty good with wiring but this has me puzzled. Anyone else experience this relay delay?

Actually, it is parked next to a Honda motorcycle. I was hoping they swapped DNA during the night, but it seems the Honda has now developed gremlins Frowner Never underestimate the power of the dark side!
Dave,

Have you tried disconnecting the feed wire to the headlight door relay's coil, and connecting a jumper wire from that terminal directly to another +12v source? If that works (without the delay), then the problem could be in the headlight switch. The red/black wire on the relay should be hot when the ignition switch is on.
