Something I had been working toward for some time. It finally paid off. I made a steel insert with welded on nuts the shape of the window. We laser just some plastic yesterday but I am having the glass company make me a glass.

The rear window is now installed and can be removed in about 5 minutes!

It was noisy and warm without a rear window! Every time I drove by where someone had mowed I got it inside the car!

My problem with making parts has always been testing enough vehicles to be comfortable with design parameters. Not to mention, our laser cutting shop we do better with laser orders form companies then doing our own products. It's just how we are set up.

If one of the Pantera companies is interested in making them let me know privately. I'll gladly share my drawings just so the product can be out there for others.

I like the idea of a glass removable window. I'd consider it. It would definitely offer options that are not a consideration now.
I've got a roll bar sourced from Hall Pantera. I do not know who Hall gets them from.

It's been reconfigured by them just a hair, theoretically to give the arm rest a little room where the first design hits. It's still very close.

It fits very closely to the top part of the window gasket.

I wondering with the roll bar in the car how the glass is going to be truly removable anyway?

I definitely agree with you about the additional accessibility aspect to the engine.

My 5" tall velocity stack on cylinder #1 is right against the glass. Just getting to the front two carbs, taking out the glass would be very helpful.

Can you imagine this kind of topic on a Ferrari forum? Or a Corvette forum? Or a Mustang forum? The great thing about this "mainstream" car is that it isn't held up as sacred and owners aren't afraid to modify them. I, too, am impressed by so many members on this forum. You being one of the primary ones!

Watching a show on a group of Ferrari's going on a group drive. They were "allowed " to wear jeans for the drive ... I mean ... what else do you need to know?

I took the first drive tonight with a rear window to a car show. It went from sounding like a monster to something you could actually have a conversation in the car...yet the exhaust sound was the best sound I have ever heard. This car is amazing!

If I am the last person on planet earth I want to drive this car. I don't care who apreciates this and who doesn't!
