I SAW A PANTERA THAT HAD BEEN REWIRED WITH RELAYS ON A BOARD NEXT TO THE BATTERY. I THINK IT WAS A KIT... IT'S PURPOSE WAS TO GET ALL OF THE HIGH AMP CIRCUITS OUT FROM UNDER THE DASH/ NOT GO THRU THE OLD SWITCHES....
HAS ANY ONE ELSE SEEN THIS MODIFICATION...AND IS THERE A DIAGRAM AND PARTS LIST AVAILABLE??????

I've heard of a kit mentioned on this board, however, I've done most of my work from scratch myself. I just used 30amp automotive relays and wired the switches to just handle the load to activate the relays. This worked especially well for the radiator fans that I have pulling directly from the battery side of the solenoid. That keeps 20-30amps from going through that weak amp guage and melting it down. I have my headlights relayed as well. I used in-line breakers instead of fuses for the fans. I found out that an occasional start would spike and blow a 30amp fuse, but the breaker resets and the engine stays cool. All this is mounted on a plate that is mounted under the dash in the center out of the way and out of site. If you need more info, let me know.
I've installed many of thse "Moseley" kits.
(I don't sell them, Rick Moseley does. I get no fee or commission either !)
Even held a tech session just for them.
For details and images go to: http://www.geocities.com/provamo72/ElectricalGremlins_2.html

Somewhere on my site: http://geocities.com/provamo72/
I have more images of the kit, being installed in another car, but I can't locate it. Take a tour.
Price is around $175 assembled, contact Rick, as there usually is a waiting list.

The 'kit' you describe is probably one done by Rick Moseley of Sacramento CA, and its primary purpose is to remove high currents from the headlight switches to prevent them from burning out. Rick's not a vendor, but a meticulous worker & offers these kits for your installation for little more than the parts cost. Try moseleya@pacbell.net for info.
THANKS....SOUNDS LIKE JUST WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR. SENT HIM AN EMAIL. WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT GOES. RC

For some details about both the fuse boxes, go to : http://geocities.com/pantera_events/SwapMeet2002_2

on the third page are images and details.

On both units, installation is easy. Just remove one wire from the old box, add to the new box, going right down the line.

After my review I STRONGLY prefer Bob Timma's design/product.
Bob can be reached at DDBT@centurytel.net

He is almost finished testing the enhanced version of his fuse box, which includes the relays that should drive the headlights and fans. Neat deal !
