Mike Drew shared this on the E mail list Thursday of this week.
I knew Bob, Precision Proformance, for many years and I always found him to be an honest, pleasant and all-around good person. He was one of the good guys.

=============
All, It is a very sad day today. I just got off the phone with Don Byars who confirmed the awful news that his brother Bob passed away unexpectedly yesterday. Bob had been bravely battling leukemia for some time. He was in the hospital undergoing a bone marrow transplant (his daughter was the donor) and during the procedure, he developed a blood clot which went to his heart. He passed peacefully at least. It is tremendously ironic and sad, because he was poised to beat his cancer and was optimistic that he would be out of the hospital in a few weeks and then would live happily ever after. Bobby was a key member of the De Tomaso community and will be much missed. Our condolences go out to his family who are obviously in a state of shock. Don said the family hasn't yet made arrangements for a memorial but he will let me know once those details are known. Bobby was a good friend to me for more than 30 years. I will miss him a lot. :( Mike
