Saturday Kingston Lunch Run?

Yes, it was a perfect day. It started out a bit cloudy and chilly, but when we hit the road the sun came out and stayed with us all day. The cats just love driving in cool air. Having the windows open when the air is cool makes it even better!

It was great to see Fred again and to be part of his first high-speed test run after a couple of years of major surgery on his car. It ran beautifully and looked great running down the highway.

But of course we arrived last. The guys were already checking out details and telling stories when we wedged ourselves into the parking lot.

I'm pretty sure that this A&W parking lot has never looked better!

It was great to see Carmen again. Seems like it's been ages, but also yet almost like it was yesterday since we all did the Rocky Mountain tour. We had a fun remembering what a great time we had during that week of driving through the Rockies together.

It was great to meet Matt and see his very nice and mostly stock '72. I really liked his 17" wheel done in the stock-looking argent finish.

I debated which Pantera to bring and David was kind enough to point out that for variety of color I should leave the white car behind and bring my modified blue car.

Of course, everyone checked out everyone else's cars and work in great detail, as usual...

All too soon it was time to start heading back for home. David and Carmen were the first to go. David waved us all goodbye as he nailed the gas.

As Denis noted, he and I played cat & mouse (or perhaps more appropriately, cat and big, fat, oblivious red stick) with a 512TR on the road home. Clearly there are Ferrari owners and there are CAR GUYS...

What a great day. I can't wait for the Montebello run in two weeks!
