FWIW, on occasion a stock Pantera seat belt buckle breaks. Specifically, the grained-vinyl plastic surround cracks and allows the whole buckle to fall apart. These are repairable and in fact Ford once offered a rebuild kit, but that was long ago. But if you're not into repairing your OEM, all is not quite lost. The jump-seat buckle-belts from a mid-'80s Ford extended-cab pickup truck will lock onto the OEM Pantera belt tongue. They are about 1" longer than stock, but this doesn't position the buckles too far over your lap. Most are chromed, but thats what rattle-can epoxies are for, right? Take a set of spline-drive sockets and ratchet to Pick N Pull- its impossible to remove the belts any other way. Once out, you'll also find the pickup truck spline screw will thread right into the Pantera's threaded boss. Finally, by using cut-down versions of the plastic belt-holders from the truck's front seat belts, your Pantera buckle can be permanently held up between the seats and console so one-hand belt connections can be made without groping around. This was all in the POCA Newsletter of May '08, with photos. Check your back issues.
I searched sunday ...I found one buckle part in good condition. Give me until the weelend again ..if you can wait ..I;m not going to use them and it would be a shame for the to go to waste. the helper I had with me at the time...I found the buckle part folded in with the door panels and seats ...which means the other pieces are scattered .. I will search further in the attic of my barn.

Sorry for the delay.

Nothing yet ... sorry for the delay .. I tried sunday and I need hand taking down the seats .. all the interior is piled in the attic ... I intend to sell the seats ... when it was putaway by my helpers ..they mixed the seat belts in with the door panels stacked on the seats .. not smart ..so they are there some where ? I did find one and it looks like yours in good condition .. I will take a pic tomorrow.

What is the two buttons at the top right of the photo?

I knew someone would finally ask that ! The round black one is a manual choke. Electric chokes on Holleys dont work worth a damn. I LOVE the manual choke. It will always do what you want....Use dry graphite to lube it for best results.
The red button is a Jack DeRyke idea--facet electric fuel pump. Its a momentary switch. Hold it down and the pump fully primes the carb. Its amazing how fast a carb dries out when it sits. The car sure starts faster when its full of fuel.
"Looks like your belts arent all that bad, just faded. I used RIT dye on mine. Made them look great ! Just a thought......

Mike,
That pic is not of my car. The previous owner put in some nice Simpson belts. I use these when driving, but still would like to have a set of original shoulder belts. I have the tiny and pretty much pathetic (IMO) original lap belts.

The pic is kinda dark but it looks like the part I need is correct. Can you verify by comparing to the pic I posted ? If they are correct, will you split up the set? And how much $ My 72 doesnt have the retractable shoulder harness, cant use those.

Thanks, Mike

Mike out of the set I posted you need one piece ? I dont want much for the whole set ? I just have too many parts I will never used in the attic and thinking of moving ..so it is liquidation time rather then move all this S$%& !
