Shock absorbers

I don't know how "up to date" this is.

While I don't want to eliminate anyone - I am aware that two of the vendors seem to "specialize" in shock packages - Pantera Performance Center, and SACC restorations.

In the off chance that you need or want "stock" shocks, and you have a lot of Euros to pay shipping, I have a complete set of low mileage Aristons (shocks, springs, spacers, rubber sleeves, etc.) that I would happily sell. PM me with an email address if you are interested - I'll send you pictures. From what I understand - the Aristons can be rebuilt by Koni (but you might confirm that if you are thinking of doing a rebuild on them). I am not sure if they need it, but they are 40+ year-old shocks.

I amongst some other owners bought Intrax suspension.

Scott at sacc sells some nice ones. They are what I replaced mine with.

How is the ride quality? About the same as stock or harsher?

I had old leaky konis before the replacements. The ride is very nice. Give him a call and he will talk you through what you want and need. I got new springs as well. the car handles very well. I went with a 450/550 spring rate and am very happy with the ride quality.

I have Koni's from Pantera East (Marino). They're the same ones Dennis Quella sells. Two enthusiastic thumbs up! Excellent ride quality.

I'll ride it very little.
I therefore need not adjustable shock absorbers but very simple.
Di it should be similar to the original.

I will ask for the Konis

The Koni's that you will get from the vendors are the Koni 30s. They are a great shock/spring set, but are not like the stock setup.

I have a set on my car. Look through the thread on #5357, there's pix there.

Winfried,

You will be missing out on the best part of Pantera ownership, IMO the Pantera should be the first car you go to drive in your collection, no matter what the other cars are!
