I drag rac a 77 Nova that runs 6.78 in the 1/8 mile. Every week at the track they bring in station wagons. Moma had a 400 ci 4v 71 ranch wagon that would just blister the tires, I drove it as a kid. I always wondered why build a wagon? I figure a lot of them came from the factory with posi traction. Maybe it's a weight transfer thing....I dunno.. I thought lighter was better.
That is great! I don't think it even has wheelie bars on the back. Is it scraping on the rear bumper? The woman says it all!

My dad used to have a '69 Ford Torino wagon with wood paneling and three-on-the-tree. He drove it into the ground and at around 150k traded it in on a '78 LTD wagon with wood paneling. One of my friends wanted to know why I didn't rebuild the '69 for myself and drop in a V8. I was working on a big block Vette at the time, and he said you can't have sex with your dates in the back of a Vette....I told him it didn't matter since I couldn't get a date in the first place.
