Pantera owners

Last year at the Fun Rally, an individual came up to me to share a story. It seems that while several Panteras were making their way to Reno from southern California, they were greeted with thick fog while passing over the mountains.

The fog created an issue because it bacame difficult to see the cars ahead. However, one of the cars taillights cut through the fog so dramatically that a spouse riding in the passenger seat of a Pantera following a half mile or so behind was impressed that one of the Pantera's tailights were clearly visible through the fog while the others were not.

When the group had a chance to talk, they learned that the drivers whose lights were visible through the fog had installed the Space City LED external light kit.

As many are aware, Space City Panteras has offered for sale a reasonably priced LED Kit that replaces almost all exterior lights on your Pantera. I believe the Headlights and license plate lights are the only LEDs excluded. The exercise has taught us a lot as we have sold over 50 sets.

We also have a new rear brake taillight design that does not require distortion of the taillight housing. ( a pic of this mod on the website ) We have continued to improve the design and quality of LEDs as the technology has improved.

Our margin is so small, capital outlay so large, and the effort so significant that we wrestled with whether to assemble additional kits for sale. However, we have decided to prepare several sets for presale at the Reno Fun Rally this year.

For a stock bodied Pantera the kit costs $200, the GT5 runs $235 (requires additional LEDs). Delivery in Reno is free at the Rally, else $5 to the US and actual cost outside the continental US. No, you couldn't buy these LED bulbs, electronic flasher, diodes, pigtail wiring and shipping from multiple suppliers cheaper yourself.

We are updating our www.spacecitypanteras.com website to show this new package details. Click the "For Sale" link on the right and then "LED Conversion"

Let me know if we can build a set for you.

1) We need to know the type of rear lens that you have. Standard or GT%

2) The color of your rear blinker lens if standard design - red or amber.

3) The color of your front blinker lens - most are amber, a few are white. GT5's are amber and white.
