I am going to the track in a few weeks and am looking for some suggestions on possible Camber setting changes.

Last time I was at the track, ALL four tires seemed to be overheating at the outside edge of each tire.

I'm wondering if I should try a tire pressure change or maybe give it some negative Camber?

Thanks, Scott

Scott,
With those tires,I would try 1.5 deg in the front and 1 deg in the rear.
You might want to get another set of wheels for track duty and fit a set of Hoosier R6s. They will dramatically improve your grip over any treaded street tire. I run 2 deg front and 1.5 rear with R6s and I am very happy with the results.

Thanks Ron,

I was looking for an inexpensive set of 17 inch rims for track tires but so far I haven't found an affordable set. Time to get out and make some camber changes...

Make sure you check the toe after you do!

I agree with Ron. I had Don Byers set up my Pantera and I believe it had about the same setup as Ron's car negative caster front and back. The tires are what really makes a huge difference though. I found the street tires to be very unpredictable and I spun the Pantera out more than once with them. The Hoosiers had great stick and to me they seemed much more predictable, I could actually drive the car even with the rear end being a bit loose.

We will being seeing you up there in a couple weeks . We have the Mustang back together after splitting the block in half during the last event.
