Bill Taylor can be found on the email list, he goes by the name SOB (Sweet Ol Bill). He should be able to answer your turn signal questions and he also does repairs dirt cheap. Great guy and a real asset to the Pantera community. In fact I will probably be taking my busted turn signal switch to him in the next couple of days.

Signal? You signal? In NY no one signals 'cause it ain't nobody elses business where they are going.
I guess that makes sense in a strange way? Hey this is NY now. What did you expect sanity?

I tried to scan the illustration for you but the scanner is kaput at the moment.

The red plastic signal canceller installs with the finger up. There is a small tab on the top edge of the outside diameter of the ring that is supposed to intersect with the grooves on the bottom of the hub adapter.

Mine is chipped off so it doesn't work properly either.
I think the pressure of the spring broke it when I installed.

The thing is kinda fragile like bakalite.

I know you can get a new one but it's probably a gazillion bucks.
I had the same problem - turn signals wouldn't stay on.

SOBill rebuilt my switch last year - he added a pivot post set screw, switch plate retaining screws, reworked/repaired the turn latch, repaired the cracked pivot post, cleaned the switch contacts, cleaned the turn switch wiper, and cleaned the horn switch components.

Cost: $50. And, it came with a lifetime (his!) warranty.

It now works as it's supposed to. Thanks SOBill!
