In my quest to make my car more "stock", I need an original coolant overflow tank. I think one from 73 or 74 were less prone to rust. If it is rusty (inside or out), I don't want it.
Here's an idea, Buy my polished stainless steel tanks I have on ebay and sell me back your overflow tank.

I know this a little late from your post as I am a new member, but I have original tanks (I think) on my 72L and when I bought it a few years back, it had a fairly extensive restoration and detailing in the engine bay as well. If you are still looking, I was thinking of the newer tanks as I would like to update mine. I am overseas right now and will be home next week, so I can take a look at the tanks to see what they are like. I'll go to Ebay to see if you still got your tanks too.
Your car by the way is very nice, that's cool you have a nose bra, where did you find one?
Hope you took that Pony car in your pics, looks like a lot of fun. Take care.

Hi Ken, the stainless tanks sold on eBay. But I'm still looking for a rust-free overflow tank.
I got the bra from Dennis at Pantera Performance Center, Colorado. It really saves the paint on a track day!
The photo with the Mustang is really old (Hallett Raceway) and it looks like I'm way "off line". That's definitely "dave" driving, not "racerdave" Smiler
