What is needed to run MSD Dizzy/6AL? | The De Tomaso Forums

I have the probillet dizzy, msd6a box (currently in use with a mallory comp9000) and diz gears. What else is needed? Thanks

really? is it that bad? i want to ditch the carter afb and put in the speed demon 750 I have on the shelf and toss in MSD stuff hoping for a performance improvement.

I run factory Motorcraft DURASPARK II the hardest part is finding the right BOX. The distributors and everything can be bought at a local autoparts store. Performance and reliabilty is not matched by anyone. If your seriuosly going racing Ford Motorsport sells and upgraded system. I used a DURASPARK System in my B/SA Nercury Comet for 8 years and only thing I did was play with the curves to pick up 100th's of a second.

I can show you posts right on this site of guys with failed MSD boxes ...

I went from a Ford Duraspark setup to an MSD setup and noticed a greal deal of enhancement. That was 5 years ago, and the MSD has never failed me.
