I have seen some awesome cars here and on other sites that have inspired me, but I do have limitations on what I can spend. It caused me to wonder, if money were no object at all, not the least concern in fact, what would you do??? What would be the first modification you would look at?? Or would you get rid of your Pantera and get the Bugattii Veron??

Me, no matter how rich I got, no matter what other cars I bought, I would keep my Pantera, but that may be because I am sentimental. But I would love to build one that used a carbon-fibre monocouque . Maybe even use the old one to make the mold???

(4th) wheels-tires 17 or 18inch.
(5th) replace wiring.
(6th) change headlights to projector or HID lights and match in frt spoiler.
(7th) in corp a tube type chassis throughout, clean up the suspension points front and rear.
(8th) Billet type A-arms & bearing housings & front spindles.
(9th) New calipers and rotors
(10th) Fab some inner fender wells.
(11th)New type dash & gauges.
(12th)New seats.
(13th)New type console.
(14th)New radiator.
(15th)New pipeing.
(16th)Braided fuel lines.
(17th)Stainless brakes lines.
(18th)Power steering.
(19th)Crank trigger.
(20th)Paint in a type of Candy Paint with Ghost highlights, and that would be just a start if no money was a concern.

I think one of Larry Stock's Panteras has the ghost highlights. Not something I would do..but it does look good on his car.

I would go with a mirror finish to blind people on bright sunny days. Just because I am mean. Big Grin
As in ghost highlights aren't flames, they only enhance the flares and body lines sort of like what Coz did on his quarter panels on his GT5.

I use to have a 280zx that was brandywine and had cherry pearl inlay on the widebody kit I had on the car,the only time you would really see it if the sun hit the right way,or if car lights hit it at night.
Damm, you better win the lottery, twice.

Well really COZ I thought you would share some of your retirement toward my way, then I could visit and watch you help work on mine with me lol.

And by the way Coz,I will be going down to look at that GT5 in Fl we talked about in June, then hopefully I will have some good news....

Oh and by the way I can dream can't I, it was a wish list.

Reading over your list makes me want to ask you to build me one too. But I'd have to sell my house to do it and I don't think a wife and 4 kids will fit in it cause that's where we would be living with a list like that.

Cool on the Florida trip. have you got anyone to help you look at it ? I know a few of the guys in Florida and I'm sure one of them would go with you if you need the help. I know you have the experience with Hot Rods, just don't want you to get off on the wrong foot with your first Pantera. It would wreck that retirerment you have coming up brother. Let me know and I'll ask. I really hope this one works out for you, you've waited a long time.
If it doesn't work out, maybe I'll sell you mine....:-)

Well as for the car I am looking for,I just want a dependable GT5 or Clone, that I can tinker with and improve, not wanting to do anything drastic cause I love the body lines of the Pantera.

Since I have been looking on the site everyone here has cars they have added their own little touch to their cars and hopefully I will be joining the others.

And when I do get the Pantera my name will definitly change from someday to my # car.

I would leave the apperance as close to the sam as possible. Maybe a little ducting here and there to feed the 2500 HP turbime motor, but not much else. Roll Eyes
I'm jealous, I'm not planning to retire until 2010. Red Face

My youngest son graduated high school last year, he got a Ford Ranger. Dad, who raised his kids as a single parent, rewarded himself with his dream car, a Pantera.

So what does my dream Pantera look like...well its silver, has Etoile wheels, Wilwood brakes, Koni shocks.....wait a minute, thats the car in my garage Wink
