This DeTomaso Pantera was first registered in  italy, on March 1973and changed ownership 4 times before be exported to an Unknown country in 1980.

My interest for this car is because it was shortly driven by my father who passed away too young, before he could buy it...

Do it still exist ? where is it now ?

please help !

That car is unlisted in the 1994 Van Ess Registry. Not uncommon back then for people who weren't joiners. Or, if the car was sold in Europe, we in the US would have no records of them (even Ford) unless it was privately imported in the last 50 years!

For hundreds of dollars, a man in Europe will look up in salvaged factory records... which may have no info either. But you still pay.

Philippe Olczyk managed to obtain most of the factory records and lists 4945 as one of those documents in his possession, although that's not going to tell you where it currently resides. He usually wants exorbitant funds to part with any of the documents and then is vague as to what you will actually get. He has quite a reputation in many circles.

Thank you Joules and LeMans850i !

actually I never hear about Philippe Olczyk. I will check out..Thank you for the tip ! Point is that I already have factory records and the completa car history from 1972 till 1980 ... The "black hole" starts in 1980 when the car was exported from Italy to an Unknown country.

Last owner was in Venice.... and Venice office of National register, say all paper documents got wet  and went lost due to floating of the storage rooms ...not uncommon for Venice ... (

Watch out for Philippe, he has the second set of documents as the first set was deposed of by the court.  He is not the most trustworthy person, and has a propensity for wanting to discredit others.

He tried to sell me copied of my uncle's will (detomaso) and his selling points was it would be embarrassing. Needless to say he did not get a dime from me or the family.

Hi Jules,

you wrote  " ...  Philippe Olczyk .......lists 4945 as one of those in his possession "

do you mean the factory record of the car or the car itself ?

and how do you know it ?  is maybe a list linked to Philippe Olczyk available in the web ?

Thank you and Hapopy Easter !

Back in the old days when the Factory was still running, if you called, someone might pull the record and tell you what was on it. Mostly it was either nothing (std car), or what radio the factory mounted in Euro cars. The Gr-3 car lists were more extensive & worth it.  That may be why free factory info is sparse today because it shows nothing much?
