Wiring harness connector location?

There is a wiring harness connector, right rear side, somewhere near the firewall, connecting the rear wiring to the front; at least in my '71.

Can anyone tell me, more specifically, where the connector is located, and/or what it looks like; maybe a picture?

My brake lights are out, and prior service told me the problem was in the connector. I would like to fix it myself without another $$ mechanic visit. Thanks!!

If I remember correctly on my 74 its red near the overflow tank.

The '71 connector is white.
