At Vegas this year,Precision Pro-Formance(Bobby Byres)had a car there w/a 514"SVO(429/460 based)motor installed and running.
I think they said that they were developing a kit and this was thier test car.The car was AWESOME! The job they did was great. It fit in there like stock almost. You might want to give them a call and talk to them about it.Their phone # is (562)-691-2526.
The 385-series engine blocks are some 4" longer than a 351C. So it is not a drop-in swap. Done one way, a good part of the front of the engine will protrude inside the drivers compartment with you. Done another way, the powertrain is moved backward to compensate for the longer block. Either way, all you need is billet motor mounts & trans mounts, custom headers and exhausts, rework the gearshift shaft to miss the wider block and bigger, fatter header tubes, a different bellhousing, etc, etc. When you're done, 1st (and maybe 2nd) gear will be all but useless, unless you regear your ZF to compensate for the monstrous increase in torque. Adding SVO alloy heads & intake will remove all but about 50 lbs of the extra engine weight, or you'll probably need stronger rear springs and the shocks set on stiff to compensate for the wt. of the 429/460. Good luck...
