Can the stock Pantera brake proportioning valve be bypassed by removing the tapered ring just inside the end cap? The rest of the guts seem to be permanently stuck inside the housing. Does anyone offer a simple tee to eliminate the proportioning valve that has the correct thread/seat to accept the stock metric flared fittings on the Pantera (not available in parts stores).

The guts of either an early or late proportioning valve (they're very different) should come out when the hex cap is unscrewed. If not, you have 2 choices: you can dig the stuff out somehow, then braze a cover over the threaded opening, or Larry Stock's PPC in Reno has gutted & brazed valves available in trade for yours. I've never found a tee fitting for Euro bubble flairs, in any size.
