Got my block back from the shop and noticed that they did not put the end freeze plug in. I assume that I install the cam, put the retainer on then pound in the freeze plug until it just touches the cam so that there is zero play. This is a roller cam so I assume that there really should not be much movement. How do you know how tight the cam should be? Should I put any sealer on the freeze plug?

The camshaft is located by the front cam plate and the timing gear. the rear freeze plug is there just to seal the hole, just tap that plug in till it is flush. A bit of sealer on ANY plug is a good idea.
