This thermostat came out of my Euro Pantera's engine.  I installed it along with a Flowkooler water pump a while.    I am trying to determine its temp rating and cannot find a useful value in the stampings.  The stampings are:

TOWARD ^ RADIATOR

CT2101700A0005

21084  07

I searched the Internet for these stampings and could find anything useful.  Does anyone have any insight on this?

Today I just finished replacing the thermostat with a new 180 degree thermostat and restrictor plate from Tim Meyers. The above thermostat is only about one or two years old and I am curious about any forthcoming temperature changes in the car.  When I installed it a year ago it was supposed to be 180 degrees but now I have some doubt.

Not too important. In my experience, what temp thermostat it is makes no difference in how hot the engine runs once fully warmed up. A 160- thermostat opens quicker but runs at the same temp as a 180 or the now-rare 192 after 15 minutes or so. I solved my special Cleveland thermostat problem decades ago by blocking the recirculation passage in the water pump and the brass washer under the T-stat and use a 351-W (or 302) thermostat. Works for me....

The new Track Boss thermostat from Tim Meyers is installed and working correctly.  The car now holds a steady temperature.  The thermostat that it replaced (top of this thread) fluctuated as much as 15 degree.  I got it only a year ago and probably ended up with an imported knock off although I thought I was getting Robert Shaw or Flowkooler.
